During this current pandemic, most patients that are being evaluated and tested for possible COVID-19 exposure will not have insurance cost-sharing because most insurance companies are waiving co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance for the screening. Check your current plan’s benefits if you have questions. A valid method of payment is still required prior to your visit.

 

A note about our billing policies:

If your visit is not COVID-19 related, a charge may be due at time of service for patients that have not met their plan’s required deductible. This is required to be collected by your plan and Marque Urgent Care will collect this deductible before your visit. Any patient balance owed in addition to this deductible that is not covered by your plan will be billed to the payment method on file. A copy of any and all charges will be provided to you at your request.

We do not process additional charges until we receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance provider. Once we receive an EOB related to your visit (primary insurance and secondary insurance if applicable) we will notify you via the email address on file that a charge will be processed for your balance. This may or may not occur before you receive your paper explanation of benefits statement, depending on your requested method of statement delivery from your insurance carrier.

Many insurance plans have changed recently. Please make sure you understand how these changes may have affected your policy. This may include higher deductibles for your plan, new co-payments at time of service, changes to your co-insurance, and changes to in/out of network benefits. If you are unsure about any of these changes please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.
