The flu, or influenza, is an acute viral infection of the respiratory system. Receiving a flu shot is the single best way to avoid the flu and its unpleasant symptoms, which can include days of fatigue, fever, chills, muscle aches, headaches, sore throat, and other ailments. Everyone – including young, healthy adults – can contract the flu, but certain groups are at an increased risk of becoming ill and should be especially mindful to get vaccinated:

  • People ages 65+
  • Women who are pregnant or have recently given birth
  • Children younger than 2 (although infants under 6 months should not be vaccinated)
  • People with certain chronic illnesses, including heart disease and diabetes

Of course, Marque Urgent Care isn’t the only clinic to offer flu shot services, but we stand apart from other medical providers in several ways. First and foremost, our center is led by experienced physicians who ensure patients are healthy enough to be vaccinated and can address any concerns they may have regarding the flu shot and potential side effects. We are also among a select few clinics in the country to be certified by the Urgent Care Association of America, an honor which speaks to the expertise and professionalism of our staff.

Don’t put your health at risk – visit Marque Urgent Care today for a flu shot. Our clinic accepts all major insurance plans and offers discounted rates to self-pay patients.
